although i am an avril fan, i do think that artical brings up really good points, and i couldn't help but laugh at the pictures. keep updating, becuz i definetly will be coming back to read more.

I am a fan of your grand anti Avril website.  When I first heard her I thought she was Michelle Branch and it didn't help that the Rolling Stone had hyped her as some prophetic badass for a new generation.  I was disgusted with every aspect of her video and noticed there was exactly one scene and a half with her holding a guitar.  She taught herself how to play at 12?  Then she should have 5 years of experience... you need at least three chords to make a rock song honey.  Her sound is purely pop and that would bother me if she didn't act like "pop" was the missionary position or something.  Her attitude doesn't impress me or influence me to go to Walmart and buy a thick Sharpie marker for my eye make-up.  It's sad really... at the end of my sophomore year I walked, or rather crutched out, with a metal plate in my leg from a skate boarding injury, a tie around my neck, and was looking forward to getting home and spending the summer being myself.  But when Avril stepped outside of her corporate cacoon, I realized now it was useless.  I am going to walk into my Junior year of high school and see fifteen girls wearing the same trash.  Thinking she's the real deal when her songs as the article on your website and also www.recroommagazine.com put it "could have easily appeared on Mandy Moore's last album".

Thanks alot for your long e-mail. Avril is nothing like Michelle Branch, at least Michelle plays guitar and write her songs by herself, Avril's got tons of help on her cd! I'm not a huge fan of Michelle Branch either, but she's a hella lot better than Avril. I've seen Avril playing guitar like once or twice. And she's pegged as this "guitar playing chick" haha, right! Her make-up disgusts me, she said that "glamour and gloss is so fake" but than why does she look like someone felt markered her eyes, she wears way to much make-up! I admit, I do like some of Avril Lavigne's songs, but she is fake. I think she planned on being a pop star her whole life, but then she saw that there wasn'y any space for another pop singer and went to punk.

She does NOT have a better body than Britney Spears, and could not be better than Brit. Britney was working at getting where she was from when she was five years old until now.
